The trail develops entirely in the surroundings of a peaceful village with its old and strong religious roots (that are well represented by two crosses built at the distance of half a millennium one from the other), great feelings of concern and care towards the poor and the needy (here you can mention the famous physician Antonio Cardarelli and Father Antonio Fiorante, missionary and martyr in Uganda) and notable historical and anthropological traces (among them the primitive samnitic defences and the old traditional path of the herds.
The nature that surrounds the village and where the trail goes with soft differences of level up to the top of La Montagnola (m.1421a.s.l) is splendid and uncontaminated. From there you have a view of 360 degrees over the Matesemassive, the mountains of the Abruzzo National Park and La Maiella as far as the Adriatic Sea.
