The trail follows the last climb made by Pier Giorgio Frassati on June 7, 1925 (a month before his death), with two friends from the "Giovane Montagna" alpine association.
The trail starts from the "Villa" fraction of Traves (628 meters), a holiday site in the Lanzo Valleys, once renowned for the work of its "chiodaioli" (nail makers), and climbs towards the colle delle Lunelle - with its splendid view of the walls of the historic practice rock wall - through the Pian Bracon picnic area and the cool birch wood that totally covers Pian delle Draie.
From this location (1,080 meters, about an hour and a half from the starting point), a deviation can be made (2 hours) to Uja di Calcante (1,614 meters), where a magnificent and vast view can be enjoyed.
